It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathryn “Kasha” Alexandria Royer, who departed this world on October 24, 2024, in Williamsburg, VA. Known for her vibrant spirit and generous heart, Kathryn brightened the lives of all who knew her.
A graduate of Bryant College, class of 1965, Kathryn brought both dedication and fun to her career as an Office Manager in various settings, her fondest being in medical. At home, she was an enthusiastic cook, gardener, and homemaker, delighting at being the gracious hostess to family and friends at her beautifully adorned home, especially at Christmas time.
Kathryn was a devoted animal lover, her home was always filled with the companionship of cherished cats and dogs. She only drove sports cars, a testament to her spirited nature. And her enthusiasm for life shone through in her unique ability to bring joy to any occasion, often breaking out in song with “Day-O” just for the sake of livening up the moment.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Richard Francis Royer; her daughter, Kimberly Richbourg and her husband Thomas; her son, Weston Royer and his wife Jamie; and her treasured grandchildren, Avery and Ella Royer, Stanley and Joseph Richbourg, and Kristen Reid and her husband Sam. Kathryn’s legacy of love and joy will live on in their hearts.
A celebration of Kathryn’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Bucktrout Funeral Home in Williamsburg, where family and friends are invited to honor and remember her remarkable spirit.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kathryn’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, reflecting her lifelong commitment to children and caring for others.
