Ansel “Sonny” Howard Wills, 77, passed away surrounded by family on October 28, 2024.
Sonny was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Busick; his step-father, Alvin Avery; his father, Dewitt Wills; his grandparents, Florence and Frances Busick; sisters, Joan-Lee, Bobbie, and Pat; his grandson, Braydon Reed; nephew, E.J. Whitehurst; and his fur baby, Fred.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carolyn; his children, Aaron (Tammy), Nancy (Johnny), Jennifer (Don), Ralph, Michael (Sierra), Virginia, and Trinity; grandchildren, Aaron Michael, Amber, Zach, Aidan, J.J., Suzanne, Brandy, Castiel, Scarlett, Piper, Violet; twelve great-grandchildren; his sisters, Linda Whitehurst, Faye Avery, and Peggy Stanford; his cousin, Carol Wilson; and many fur babies who he loved dearly.
Sonny was a dedicated husband and family man; his family meant the world to him. He was also an avid animal lover. You could often find him tinkering around and fixing just about anything and keeping watch of his hummingbird feeders.
