John Sheridan Heslink, Jr., 59, of Toano, VA passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
John was born in Richmond, VA to John and Linda Heslink on May 2, 1965. He graduated from York Academy in 1983 and was a self-employed contractor and handyman for 30 years. He was most recently employed as a carpenter for Williamsburg-James City County schools.
John was a skilled problem-solver who performed various construction and woodworking projects. He also enjoyed gardening, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his parents; brother, Michael Heslink (Tracie); nephew, Michael Heslink (Sarah); great-niece, Melanie Heslink; and his beloved dog, BeBe.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 15 at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th St., West Point, VA 23181.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 16 at Olive Branch Christian Church, 7643 Richmond Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23188.
Interment to follow in church cemetery with a reception after.
