Winnifred Yvonne Jarm (Winnie) was born in Kingston, Jamaica to George and Eva May Chinquee on August 17, 1931.
On a visit to New York City, NY, Winnie met Yee King Jarm (Joe) and they were married a few months later on August 30, 1950.
They had one son, Robert, born in 1952. The family resided in New York City until 1963 at which time they relocated to Falls Church, Virginia.
Winnie worked at the World Bank, Washington DC as an Administrative Assistant to the Bank’s President. After twenty-five years, she retired in 1988.
Winnie is preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father and seven siblings.
She is survived by her son, Robert Jarm and his wife, Patty; her grandson, Matthew Jarm and his wife, Amanda; and her great-granddaughters, Sienna and Arianna Jarm.
Winnie and Joe, a Navy veteran, will be buried together at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Virginia.
