Mona L. McLoughlin, a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on April 8, 2024.
She led a distinguished career, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Air Force after 18 years of dedicated service, including supporting Desert Shield/Storm. Following her military career, Mona continued to serve her country as an Analyst for General Dynamics Information Technology.
A graduate of Montana State University with a B.S. in Linguistics in 1975, Mona’s interests were as varied and vibrant as her life. She found joy in the company of horses, cats, and the beauty of art and gardening. An avid cook and baker, she delighted in creating handmade gifts for her loved ones. Her artistic talents shone through in her paintings across various mediums.
Mona is preceded in death by her father, Allen Raney. She leaves behind her beloved spouse, Paul McLoughlin; her daughters, Morgan Ashley (Adam) Goodenough, Linden Collins, and stepdaughter Colleen (David Bednarz) McLoughlin; her siblings, Karen Raney and David Raney; grandchildren Skylar Goodenough; and her mother, Elizabeth “Liz” Raney.
A memorial service to honor Mona’s life will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Bucktrout Funeral Home. In the wake of her passing, Mona’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished her.
