Brenda Whitley Gibbons, 71, passed away on Monday April 15, 2024 with her family by her side.
She was raised in Hampton, Virginia and was a proud graduate of the first graduating class of Bethel High School in 1970. She was a hair stylist at various salons on the Peninsula and the owner of Hair by Brenda and Company Salon in Hampton, Virginia.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Gibbons (Gib); her sister, Jacqueline Shufflebarger and her brothers, Martin Whitley III and John Shufflebarger. She is survived by her daughter, Mackenzie Brewer; her sister, Carolyn Williams; her grandson, Michael Jenkins as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Weymouth Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. following visitation at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
