Charles Marlin Stetler, 84, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024.
Charles was born and raised in Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Shamokin High School in 1957. Afterwards, he attended Lehigh University and earned a degree in 1961. Charles embarked on a fruitful career as a chemical engineer; and throughout his life he lived and worked in Pennsylvania, Illinois, Mississippi, and Oklahoma.
Eventually, Charles retired from his work at Raytheon Engineers and in 2011 he and his beloved wife of 66 years, Susan, moved to Williamsburg. He was the President of the Newtown HOA for many years. In addition to spending time with his family, Charles loved to grill on his Big Green Egg and attend William & Mary sporting events.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Stetler; his parents, Marlin and Gertrude Stetler; and his brother, Alan Stetler.
He is survived by his sons Charles D. Stetler (Lori) of Dallas, TX and Steven Stetler (Lucianna Ometto) of Houston, TX; daughter Suzanne Mitrovic (John) of Toano, VA; grandchildren Alison Graham, Jeff Stetler, Samantha Stetler, Marissa Mitrovic, Brandon Stetler, Jake Stetler, and Kelli Mitrovic; and great-grandchildren Remy, Sloane, and Cameron Foerster.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
