Mark Duane Sortzi passed peacefully on 18 February 2024 surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Born 25 July 1966 in Woodstock, Virginia; Mark grew up in Manassas, where he made many friends and enjoyed playing sports. He went on to graduate from Stonewall Jackson Senior High School and received his degree from George Mason University. At the time of his passing, Mark worked for Ensono. His outstanding performance led to him being recognized as the 2023 Employee of the Year.
Mark enjoyed working on his cars, staying busy in his garage, and a cold Miller Lite. His love of the beach was only surpassed by his love for his daughters.
Proceeded in death by his father, Cornell Sortzi, Jr.; he is survived by his daughters Sara and Anna; parents Susan and Larry Harper, and Donna Sortzi; siblings Chris (Allison), Wade (Michelle), Jami, and Danny Boyce (Patti); fiancé Anita Howell and her daughters, Samantha and Shannon; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held March 8 between 3 and 5 p.m. at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas, VA. Interment will be private.
