George Allen Waterfield known as Allen, 51, passed away surrounded by family on January 16, 2024.
Allen was born in Norfolk to the late Ernest Allen Waterfield and Beverly Gorman Hemsath (Ray). He was predeceased by grandparents, Fred & Mary and William & Rosemary.
Allen was a Redskin Fan through and through and a Dale Earnhardt fan until his passing. Allen was a hard worker mostly construction throughout his life, until his disability from COPD. He had a heart of gold and would give a stranger the shirt off his back.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving girlfriend of 22 years, Sonia Williams. His dog, Blue and cat, Elvis. Daughters, Karen Lepper and Devan Hedrick. Bonus children, Meagan Segar (Billy) and Hunter Williams (Whitney). Grandchildren, Mackenzie, Cheyenne, Daisy, Harper, Joshua “Wingtip”, Savannah, Lawson, Gunner, Grayson and Leila. His Sisters, Cissy and Tiffannie (Jeremy), neices, Makayla, Coral, Kenzie and Alijhah, nephew’s, Justan and Kyan.
Allen will be greatly missed by everyone and certainly never forgotten. A celebration of Life will be February 3, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home-Chesapeake Chapel. We will will also be having a final celebration just as Allen would have wanted in the summer.
