Ronald (Ron) Eagle of Quinton, Va was called home, to Heaven, on November 23, 2023. He lived an incredibly full life in his 76 years, even after receiving a cancer diagnosis in May of 2021. In Ron’s final days, remaining hours and even while taking his last breath, he was enveloped in the love and support of close family and friends. Ron was very brave in his final moments, and he transcended peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, while his wife, Marty, remained steadfast by his side, holding his hand.
Ron is survived by his devoted wife, Marty, and their loving children: daughter Tyler and her husband Alan and, son, Rutsen and his wife Tyler; loyal brother, Henry (Chick) and his wife, Shelby; as well as his precious grandchildren; Stuart, Layla and Kelly Grace who affectionately knew him in his favorite role as Pop Pop.
Ron was born in Englewood, New Jersey in 1947 to Henry and Jean. Born with a love for faith, family, and freedom. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 1970. He dedicated 50 years to a distinguished career in finance, attaining his Master of Business Administration from Virgina Commonwealth University. His accomplishments in life left an indelible mark on his circle of family, friends, fellow Patriots and brothers and sisters in Christ.
In addition, Ron also honorably served his community through the New Kent County Sheriff’s Department as an Auxiliary Deputy. For his dedication to the Force, he proudly received the Honorary Auxiliary Deputy Award in May of 2023.
Beyond his professional achievements, he was a devoted family-man and southern gentleman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including traditional American pastimes such as walking his dog, Kimber, through the woods, spending time on the flat range training, and most of all, enjoying his morning cup of coffee with his wife, Marty. Together they would welcome every day by joining hearts in worship of the Father, with souls eternally fused and sealed together by the covenant of marriage for fifty-three joyous years.
Ron’s final wish to all was for everyone to come to Jesus and love one another. We will always remember Ron as being a pillar of strength in his community, being a source of unwavering love and support for his family and friends, and for having an incredible love of life. We were blessed with the most wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and best friend in Ron, and we will miss him being here with us tremendously, every minute of every day. We wish with our whole hearts that we had more time with him, but we know he is shoulder to shoulder with our Heavenly Father who gives us the peace which surpasses all understanding.
