Nancy T. Spencer, 84, a lifelong Peninsula resident passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, surrounded by her family.
She graduated from Newport News High School, the class of 1957, and attended the College of William and Mary. Over the years, she enjoyed working at NASA, the Navy Department at the Newport News Shipyard, and retails shops. Nancy shared her artistic talents by starting a small business making children’s clothing and costumes. She made her home in Gloucester, VA, for over 28 years with her husband, Donald “Donnie” Spencer. Nancy is survived by her three daughters, Stacey, Susan and Amy; her son, Brent; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Peninsula Memorial Park by the Dr. Richard Croxton of Beech Grove Baptist Church.
