Charles E. “Charlie” Linden, 77, passed away July 3, 2023.
A native New Yorker who despite having lived in Virginia for over twenty years never lost his New York accent. Charlie graduated from the police academy in 1972 and proudly served the people of New York and New Jersey as both an officer and detective for the Port Authority Police Department. Upon retiring to Virginia Beach, Charlie worked as a security officer at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. His greatest job however was that of a devoted husband and loving father.
He is preceded in death by his mother Marie Wiederhold and his wife Maura. He is survived by his four children Steven Linden and his wife Kathy, Ian Linden and his wife Rachel, Christopher Linden and his wife Michele and Kerry Linden and her husband Mike; and seven grandchildren, Hayden, Steven, Kyleigh, Noah, Delainey, Amelia and Emery.
