Fonney Juanita Broughman, 98, of Providence Forge, VA, gained her wings on Friday, June 23, 2023.
She was greeted in heaven by her parents, Clarence and Flossy Vicars; sisters Cletta, Mattie, and Ruth; brothers Claude, Billy Joe, and Fred; husband Robert Broughman; son Samuel Broughman; grandson Samuel Broughman, Jr., and daughter-in-law Lola Broughman.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted children, Daniel Broughman, Yvonne Mansini (John), and David Broughman (Angie); brother, Calvin Vicars and her sister Gladys Boyer; grandchildren, Steven Broughman (Esther), Carlos Espinosa (Jeri), Danielle Ransom (Calvin), Vangy Lawson (Todd), David Broughman, Jr. (Leslie), and Krystal Drake (Jarrett); two step-grandchildren, a host of great grand-children, and great-great-grandchildren.
Though our hearts are shattered, her memory will forever live within us, and she will be forever missed and cherished as a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 27 at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Private interment will take place at a later date.
