Herman I Bradby, 89 of Providence Forge, VA walked into the arms of Jesus on May 22, 2023.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 65 years, Lucille Bradby “the madam”, devoted daughters Justine Charity (Alan) and DeAnne L. Bradby, precious granddaughter Brianna Charity, brothers, Emmitt and Milford Bradby, sisters, Kathleen Canaday, Arnette Adkins and June Loving, sister in laws, Thelma and Paulette Bradby, daughters at heart, Wilma Loving and Sylvia Wynn (Woody), in laws, Leroy Wynn, Jesse Wynn (Zelma), Bertha Cannada (Clifford), Jackie Adkins (Don), Earl Wynn (Jane), Loretta Adkins (Stanley) and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Herman was employed with Virginia Department of Forestry for 38 years. He was a faithful member of Samaria Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School Secretary and Sexton for many years. He was also a member of the Chickahominy Indian Tribe.
Herman was a man after God’s own heart, a prayer warrior loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend. We would like to thank his caregiver, Haley Martin and Amedisys Home Health Care/hospice for providing excellent care.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 at Samaria Baptist Church. A viewing will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday May 25 at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to do an act of kindness for someone, in honor of Herman.
