Barbara Ann Tate, 83, of Quinton VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday April 29th, 2023, surrounded by her family. Barbara loved growing flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired from New Kent County working in the cafeteria and driving school buses.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, George “Jack” Tate Jr.; six children, Kathy, Dougie, Anita, Michael, Norman and Andy; one sister, Mary; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a special caregiver, Kathy Wynn; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1 PM Thursday, May 4th at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA. The family will receive friends 3-8 PM Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Virginia, 2235 Staples Mill Rd #100, Richmond, VA 2323.
