Terry Allen Steele, 66, of New Kent, Virginia passed away peacefully with family surrounding him on March 14, 2023.
He was employed at Owens-Illinois for 43 years and retired in 2019. Terry enjoyed very much being outdoors, camping, doing yard work, and working on any car, truck, or motorcycle he could get his hands on. Terry loved his two dogs very much and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and friends around a fire.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rod and Maxine Steele; sister, Deborah Dean; step-son Ryan Burnside; and best friend, Jim Miller.
Terry is survived by the love of his life, Becky Steele, for 28 years. They married happily on December 13, 1994. He is also survived by their daughter, Keri Lane (Casey); adopted daughter, Nicole Thompson (Mickey); special granddaughter, Leah Thompson; cousin, Rick Brown (Kay); close friend, Clay Rickman (Rebecca); and many other true friends, nieces and nephews.
A special thank you goes out to Dr. Shallcross and his team of nurses at Riverside Regional Medical Center and Dr. Powell of Sentara Oncology for their excellent care and kindness to Terry and his family. A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg.
