Donald “Donnie” Wayne Bland, 75, of Mechanicsville, VA passed away February 26, 2023.
Donnie retired from Smurfit Stone after 38 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, watching NASCAR, and was the absolute happiest when he was spending time with his family.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents Harry Bland and Ruth Bland Wyatt; his step-father Ernest Wyatt; and a sister Linda Bland Goodman.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Nancy H. Bland; two children Angie Kuhn (Richard) and Timmy Bland; two grandchildren, that were his eyeballs, Gavin and Breckyn Kuhn; and his fur baby, Casey Wayne.
The family will receive friends 12 to 2 PM, Friday, March 3rd at Poroporone Baptist Church, 30071 The Trail, Shacklefords, VA 23156 with the funeral beginning at 2 PM. Interment will be in Poroporone Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Poroporone Baptist Church, PO Box 400, Shacklefords, VA 23156 or Sarah Cannon Cancer Center/Hawthorne Research Center, 1402 Johnston-Willis Dr., Richmond, VA 23235.
