Norman Allan Wilmans, 83, died Sunday, November 27, 2022 at The Hidenwood Retirement Community. He was born in McKeesport, PA and graduated from Grove City College. He joined the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Lt. Col. His second career was a Captain for American Airlines where he flew for over 25 years, retiring in 1998. He moved from Henderson, NV to Newport News, VA to be closer to family. He will be remembered for many things, but his wry sense of humor will never be forgotten.
Norman is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Wilmans; his 2 sons, James “Jim” Wilmans and his wife, Trish and Robert “Rob” Wilmans and his wife, Jamie Albano; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Burial will take place in Arlington National Cemetery with Full Military Honors at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
