Barbara Jean Moore 85, passed away peacefully at home on Oct 13, 2022. She was born September 4, 1937 in New Kent, VA. She was preceded in death by grandchildren; Eric & Jennifer, and is survived by her 7 children, Wayne (Charlotte), Tommy (Carol), Mark, Brenda (Ted), David (Suzanne), Johnny, & Walter. She is also survived by, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 6 great greatgrandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. She was the Matriarch of our family. She showed great strength, courage, and perseverance during a lifetime of adversity. She loved without condition, and she contently sacrificed herself for her family the duration of her life, she kept her family together and that was important to her. She was an example of a graceful caregiver, it came easy to her. She was a lover of plants and nature. Her presence will be greatly missed. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”- Romans 8:28 The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140, from 6:00 – 8:00pm, and where funeral services will be held Wednesday October 19th, 2022 at 12 noon, interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr., Sandston, VA 23150.
