Glen Rodney Braxton, transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly home on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 6:35 pm, in Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. Glen was born on April 4, 1966.
Glen graduated from the Deaf and Blind School, Hampton, VA, in June 1988. Glen was baptized and became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Croaker, VA. In 1983, upon relocating to the Newport News, VA area, Glen joined New Beech Grove Baptist Church.
Glen loved to travel and visit family members. He also loved his Gospel Music. Glen truly believed in God and stood on the scripture Philippians 4: 13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.”
Glen leaves to cherish his memories his devoted mother, Sandra Trower; sister, Monica Bell (Ronnie); two aunts, Rachel Shearin (Ben) and Mildred Morris (Walter); two uncles, Herman Braxton (Dianne) and Reginald Braxton; niece, Cassandra Mason; two great-nieces, Maddison and Maleah; special friends, Lamont Turnstall, Marilyn Johnson, Rochelle McLaurin, and Stella Ward; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2022, at New Beech Grove Baptist Church. Livestream will be available at the beginning of the service. Interment to follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Braxton may be viewed from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Facial coverings are required for all services.
