Mary “Geri” Keffer, 83, of West Point, passed away August 12, 2022. She was a loving mother and grandmother as well as an accomplished golden retriever breeder and dog trainer. Geri was a native of West Point, but she enjoyed being able to spend her golden years hopping back and forth between West Point and her daughter’s home in Florida.
Geri was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce W. Keffer, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Kara Keffer Goodman (Doug); son, Bruce W. Keffer, III (Alisha); “Mom”, Virginia Lancaster; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her dog, Abbi.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM, Monday, August 15th at Vincent Funeral Home, West Point. A funeral service will take place 11 AM, Tuesday, also at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Sunny Slope Cemetery and a reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the West Point Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, PO Box X, West Point, VA 23181.
