NEWPORT NEWS — Noah Kenneth Gratta, 24 of Newport News, passed away unexpectedly on March 19,2022. He leaves behind his mother and father, Donna Gratta and John Valencia and his sister, Samantha Gratta to whom he was very close.
Noah was born on October 2, 1997 in New Haven, Connecticut and attended schools in both Wallingford and Meriden. After his parents relocated to Newport News, Virginia, Noah graduated from Woodside High School. It was after that he developed a passion for helping people that struggled with mental illness. Noah was most recently employed as a psychiatric technician at Riverside Behavioral Health in Hampton, VA.
Noah was a beautiful soul who touched the lives of everyone he met. He will also be deeply missed by many aunts and uncles, Augustine (Ebony) Salvati of Newport News, Kenneth (Christine) Cushen of Pennsylvania, Myke Arminio, Tracy Gratta, Cammie (Ed) Rogers all of Connecticut, Renee (Ernie) Therrien of Florida, Michelle Valencia and Karyn (Al) Cotrona also of Connecticut, in addition to many cousins and friends. Noah also leaves his best friends and “brothers for life” Bryce Snyder, Josh Forehand, Mason Prigitano and Bobby Gullo. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Michael “Moe” and Margaret Cushen.
Noah’s family will receive family and friends for a memorial service on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 5 pm at Weymouth Funeral Home, 12746 Nettles Drive, Newport News, VA.
