On Thursday, February 24, 2022, God dispatched an angel to bring home Wesley Earl Wade Jr. also known as “Tum” and “Big Timer.” He was born on May 5, 1966, to Doris Wade Holloman and the late Wesley Earl Wade Sr. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lynn “Kitten” Wade; grandmother, Thelma Coles; and loving stepfather, Johnnie Holloman.
Wesley was employed at the Chickahominy House for many years. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends. He loved his nieces and nephews. He was loved by everyone and one of his favorite sayings was “Do Me Like I Do You.”
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his son, Devon Chandler; mother, Doris Holloman; siblings, Wayne Armstead Sr. (Pamela), Michael Armstead (Dorothy), Lesley Carter (Joshua Jr.), Gary Wade, and Gail Minns-Ashby; devoted companion Tamya King; six aunts, Cynthia Roane (Chauncey), Priscilla Christian (Kelvin), Faye Simon (Kenneth), Vernice Wade, Louise Stone, and Doris Wade; uncle, Charles Greene; six nieces, ShaKera, Natisha, Krystal, Brittany, Angelique, and Gerianne; three nephews, Wayne Jr., Wesley, and Joshua Ill; and a host of cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. Facial coverings are required. There will be no public viewing.
