WILLIAMSBURG — Veronica Gaffney-Heaslip, Ph.D., 96, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in Williamsburg. She is preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Alfred (Bill) Heaslip.
Formerly of Ft. Lee, NJ, she worked as a probation officer while she attended New York University to attain a PhD in psychology early in her career. Veronica also taught math at various New York schools and served as a school psychologist.
A resident of Williamsburg Landing since 2009, she was also an active member of the Williamsburg St. Bede Catholic Church, where she also served in adult education.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at St. Bede Catholic Church at 12:00 PM. Donation contributions in Veronica’s memory may be made to St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23188 (www.bedeva.org).
