WILLIAMSBURG — Thomas Joseph Kmetz, 58, suddenly passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
A devoted father, grandfather and uncle, Thomas will be remembered with joy and affection by his son, Bradley Hancock; and nephews, James Kmetz and Joseph Kmetz. He adored spending time with and spoiling his grandson, Blake.
Although born in Passaic, New Jersey, in 1962, Thomas always called Williamsburg his home. He graduated from Walsingham Academy in 1980. After earning a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and a B.S. Degree in Accounting from Christopher Newport University, Thomas worked the majority of his professional career as practice manager for Dr. Paul John McMenamin, M.D. He retired from there after 25 years of service in 2018.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Kmetz.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, JoAnne Hunt Kmetz; son, Bradley Hancock; grandson, Blake Hancock; mother, Doris; and brother, Walter Kmetz (Sarah).
