WILLIAMSBURG — John Lee Walker Jr., 16, passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2020, in Newport News.

In the 11th grade, John attended Lafayette High School and played the saxophone in the marching band. He enjoyed his job at Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant, hanging out with friends, playing video games and loved the Dallas Cowboys. John received his driver’s license and loved to drive. He was looking forward to his first vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade that he had purchased and was due to be delivered Nov. 1, 2020. John loved his granny, who he spent his weekend with, and loved his mother and siblings.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Parrish Dixon; paternal grandfather, Daniel Walker Sr.; maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Cooke; and maternal great-grandfather, Charles Marsh.

Survivors include his mother, Monique Marsh; special dad, Tony Robinson Sr.; father, John Lee Walker Sr.; brothers, Tony Robinson Jr. and Stefan Walker; sisters, Keyona Walker, Milian Robinson, Cassidy Robinson, MaLisa Berkley-Holmes and Miracle Blair; grandmother, Gwendolyn Cooke; grandfather, Calvin Lee Marsh (Darlene); three nieces; six nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles and loving family members and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, at Nelsen Funeral Home.
