NEWPORT NEWS — Hye Sok Owen, 60, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020, with her family by her side.
She was born Sept. 11, 1960, in Songtan City, South Korea.
Hye Sok was a loving mother with a generous heart and a devoted Christian who dearly loved Jesus and was active in her local church. She was extremely proud of her family and leaves behind many memories of love, laughter and joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chong Tae So and Kim Sun Hui.
She is survived by her two daughters, Christina and Mary, and their father, Douglas Owen.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, at New Life Presbyterian Church.
