Robert Lee “Robbie” Ham II, 22, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2020. Born Aug. 19, 1997, to Robert and Venus Ham. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle and friend to many.

Robbie will always be remembered for his hilarious personality, his devoted and fierce loyalty to his loved ones and being well respected by all. Many described Robbie as the realest person they’ve ever known. His passions included the Washington Redskins and Boston Redsox; and showing love and support to friends on the music scene; the late Michael Stanley, Brandon and Mayday.

He was preceded in death by great grandparents, Utah Scott and Artie Mae Hamrick of Hampton, Robert Lee Ham of Phoebus, Ruth Bartholomew of Phoebus, Louis and Anne Skalicky of Pine City, Minnesota, Walter and Edna Taylor of Newport News, Grandmama, Linda Taylor of Hopewell; and aunt, Janette Smith of Hampton.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Venus Ham of Newport News; grandparents, Judy Hamrick Ham of Kerrville, Texas, Bobby Ham of Conway, South Carolina, Gary and Paulette Skalicky of Pine City, Minnesota; siblings, Anthony (Chip) Edwards, David Edwards, and his wife, Danielle, and William (Thumper) Edwards, all of Hampton, Kristen Hodge, and her husband, Zachary, of Yorktown, and Ashley Ham of Newport News; as well as aunts, Dawn Dubish of Church Hill,Tennessee, Jackie Holmes, and her husband, Ralph, of Suffolk, Dawn Axcell, and her husband, Kevin, of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada; uncles, Todd Ham and Brian Hubbard of Portsmouth; nieces and nephews, Corey, Kayla, Cameron, Bryndon, Eric, Evan, Brooke, Eddie, Blaire, C.J., Adalynn and Ava Sloane.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 245 S. Armistead Ave., downtown Hampton.
