
Cheryl Ann Mitchell-Palmer, 63, entered into eternal rest Monday, Dec. 9, 2019. She was born Aug. 13, 1956, in Moyock, North Carolina, to the late Evelyn J. Haynes and the late Clinton Mitchell.
Cheryl was educated in the Virginia Beach public school system and graduated from First Colonial High School. She was a member of the First Lynnhaven Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, and was a housekeeper for 30 years. Cheryl loved watching her Westerns and dancing to her oldie-but-goodie music.
Cheryl leaves to cherish her memory, her husband for over 30 years, Spencer A. Palmer; three daughters, Christina A. Hill-Thigpen (Ronald), Shevon A. Hill and Keita A. Hill; grandchildren, DeShaun Joyner, Leonna A. Ownby and Anthony E. Ownby; siblings, Robert Hill Jr. (Jennifer), Evelyn S. Fowlkes, Faye M. Gorham (Charles) and Linda M. Brown (Darryl); stepfather, Robert Hill Sr.; nieces, Chontai Hill, Tiffany Hill, Brennan Brown and Jackie Hill; nephew, Joshua Hill; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Beach Funeral & Cremation Services, 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach. A celebration of life service will be held at noon, Thursday, Dec. 19, at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at noon in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery,
5310 Milners Road, Suffolk.
