Eugene Melvin “Gene” Raines, 71, of Virginia Beach, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at his home surrounded by loved ones.
He was a native of the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area and the business owner of E.M. Raines Painting Company for 42 years.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 48 years, Faye Davis Raines; two daughters, Andrea Pagan, and her husband, Josh, of North Carolina, and Lauren Engen, and her husband, Hans, of Richmond; one son, Christopher Raines, and his wife, Jenny, of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren, Zack, Skyler, Sofia, Gisele, Haley and Davis; and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach.
