
Paul Edward Doyle, 48, of Virginia Beach, died unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at his home. Words cannot adequately express the loss of Paul Doyle. His love of family and friends was boundless!
Paul is survived by his wife, Lisa McCawley Doyle; brothers, John, and his wife, Carol, and David; brother-in-law, Richard McCawley, and his wife, Kris; nieces, Megan, Riley and Theresa; and godson, Seth Lucas.
He was preceded by his parents, John and Elaine Doyle; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Geraldine McCawley; beloved maternal grandmother, Nelly White, for whom he was a caretaker.
Paul was born in Monterey, California, into a Navy family. His father’s career brought him to Virginia Beach, where he attended Cox High School, then attained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Longwood University and a Master of Science Degree from EVMS. After starting work in health care, Paul found his true calling in the building and restoration of homes. He was the owner of P-diddy and the Flip-Flop companies. Paul was very excited when several of his homes were selected to be featured on HGTV. Paul served as past president of the local chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization. He was passionate about entrepreneurship and service to the business community.
Paul was an avid soccer player. He played for the Miller Oil team for 27 years. He was on the board of directors for the OTSL, the over-40 soccer league. He also loved the beach; you could find him most weekends on the beach with family and friends enjoying a beverage from his silver Yeti cup.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 24, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home,1264 Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach. A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, at Spring Branch Community Church, 1500 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach.
In honor of Paul, the family invites you to attend the viewing and service in flip-flops, T-shirts and shorts. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice.
