Stephen Anthony Sheffield, 46, of Shacklefords, Va., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, following a brief illness. He worked as a water well driller, and he loved to hunt and fish.
He was born April 7, 1971, in Williamsburg, Va., and was a resident there for most of his life. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald F. Sheffield.
He is survived by his mother, Lois Weeks, and her husband, Terry; brother, Tim Sheffield, and his wife, Leigh; sisters, Becky Perez and Amy Sheffield; son, Gerald Sheffield; daughter, Deborah Anne Sheffield; and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, at Hickory Neck Episcopal Church, 8300 Richmond Road, Toano. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 7, at Williamsburg Community Chapel, 3899 John Tyler Highway, Williamsburg, followed by a reception.
