Lawrence I. Smiley, 87, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017.
Born in Richmond, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Gladys Smiley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan P. Smiley. He was a retired banker.
Left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Diane Fluegel, and her husband, Dale; son, David L. Smiley; five grandchildren, Justin (Imane), Jason (Erica), Jessica (Ron), Jared and Jevin Fluegel; six great-grandchildren;and numerous extended family members.
The family will receive friends at from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 28, at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
