Alma Marie Wood Jennings, 89, wonderful cook, trusted confidant and loving friend

Alma Marie Wood Jennings, 89, went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Preston Jennings; and her only child, her beloved daughter, Mary Linda Hatcher Ellis. She was the daughter of Virgil Lacy Wood and Ada McKinney Wood.

Alma was born in Herndon, W.Va., on May 21, 1926. She was raised in a loving Christian home, one of seven siblings. Those left to cherish her memory include many family members and friends as well as the many other lives that she had touched. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of others and witnessing wherever she was. She was not ashamed of the gospel of God. Alma was a wonderful cook, a trusted confidant and a loving friend to all who knew her.

Alma spent many of her days witnessing to the residents and staff at Consulate Healthcare, where she resided. She carried the gospel of Jesus Christ wherever she went and loved to share her testimony. Alma’s joy came from her relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ. Welcome home, thou good and faithful servant!
