Holyce ‘Holly’ Jean Hernandez, 77, ‘Queen Bee’ who enjoyed crafting, quilting and cooking

Holyce “Holly” Jean Hernandez, of Williamsburg, died Oct. 1, 2015, at the age of 77.

She was born in Tracy City, Tennessee on Feb. 2, 1938, and was a Williamsburg resident for the past five years.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Hernandez; children, Jim and wife Eileen Hernandez, Debra and husband Ron Osborn and Steve and wife Kathleen Hernandez; grandchildren, Fallon Giorgano, Alexandra Del Monaco, Steve and wife Nicole Osborn, Elisa Hernandez, Gena Hernandez, Haley Hernandez and Tony Hernandez.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Ruth Arnold; father, Frances Jolly; sister, Patsy Hager; and son, Tony Hernandez.

She attended high school in Tracy City, Tennessee and was a hardworking mother of four. She enjoyed crafting, quilting and cooking for her family. Holly was a volunteer at the Chamber of Commerce in Navarre, Florida. She worked hard to put on all of the local charity events, particularly Christmas in the Park.

In her final days, she was surrounded by her loving husband, children, grandbabies and friends. Being the “Queen Bee” that she was, the outpouring of love she has received would have thrilled her.

The Hernandez family will have a private celebration of life.

Her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and entire staff of the Riverside Doctors’ Hospital for their tremendous hospitality. The professionalism and care that was given to Holly was overwhelming.
