William Rzasa, of Williamsburg, died Wednesday, July 30 2014, at the age of 84.
Mr. Rzasa was a decorated U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, United Nations Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was a member of St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Chester, Pa. as well as Szymanski-Rywacki American Legion post 546. Mr. Rzasa enjoyed bird watching, the Dallas Cowboys and Duke Basketball.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Teresa (Zultowski) Rzasa.
Survivors include his dear friend, Diane Kaign; sons, William, Jr. (Cate), of Hinsdale, Ill. and Paul (Melissa), of Mechanicsville; daughter, Joan Rich (Edward), of Oxford, Pa.; six grandchildren, Angie, Edward, Cameron, Zachary, Aubrey and Damian; brother, Edward Rzasa; and sister, Irene Alkins.
A Mass will be held at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Chester, Pa. Burial will be at Immaculate Heart Cemetery.
