Bertram Kime, of Williamsburg, died June 21, 2014, at the Walter Reed Convalescent Center in Gloucester. He was 97.
His family would like to thank the staff of Walter Reed Hospice of Tappahannock who so lovingly cared for him.
He loved his family, church, many friends and Syracuse University football and basketball.
Survivors include his two children, Susan and her husband, Fred Biel, of Williamsburg and Chuck and his wife, Pat Kime, of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, whom he absolutely adored.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2014, at Hickory Neck Episcopal Church, 8300 Richmond Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23168, followed by a reception at the home of the Biels.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hickory Neck Episcopal Church, Williamsburg or the Salvation Army.
