Martha Swart Gregg, 89, lived a life of Christian faith and values, enjoyed hosting dinner parties and always lit up the room

Martha Swart Gregg, of Williamsburg, died June 18, 2014, at the age of 89.

Mrs. Gregg was born Sept. 25, 1924, in Wheeling, W.V., graduated from Mount De Chantel Academy and received her college degree from Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa.

After college, she married Warren Gregg and was happily married for almost 68 years. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed hosting dinner parties. She was an active member in the Presbyterian church where she served as a circle chairman and a moderator of Presbyterian women.

Mrs. Gregg was a loving and giving follower of Christ who lived out a life of Christian faith and values. She always lit up the room with her smile and joyful heart.

She is survived by her husband, Warren Gregg; children, Bob Gregg and his wife, Donna, Elizabeth Hurst and her husband, Larry and John Gregg and his wife, Dominique; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Gregg will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2014, at Bucktrout of Williamsburg, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg.
