Hattie M. Waller, of Yorktown, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Riverside Regional Medical Center. She was 94.
Her life began Nov. 12, 1919, the daughter of the late Wilson and Lavania Williams, of Yorktown. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margo L. White and her two sisters, Clementine Lewis and Daisy Muse.
Mrs. Waller is survived by her brother, Theodore L. Williams; grandchildren, Chevette Faide (Garrick), Curtis Nelson, II and Torre Randolph; nieces, Lillian Lewis, Barbara Watford and Melba Giles (Mark, II); nephews, W. Freeman Lewis and Ronald Muse (Julia); great-nieces and great-nephews; and other loving relatives and many caring friends.
Mrs. Waller may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. Family and friends will assemble at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 205 Harrod Lane for a homegoing service beginning at noon at Shiloh Baptist Church, Rte. 17 and Goosley Road, with Pastor Barbara Lemon officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
