Lillie Melton Burton, of Williamsburg, died April 24, 2014, at the age of 93.
She was a member of James River Baptist Church and was very active in the VFW. She was best known for her love of animals, especially her cat, Buddy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Temple Burton; parents, Larry and Mamie Melton; brothers, Charles and Stuart Melton; and sister, Lorraine Burnside.
She is survived by her nephew, Edward Melton; nieces, Constance Beatty and Orene Coffman; and a number of cousins.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Bucktrout Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Bybees Road Baptist Church.
