Rose Rena Richardson, a lifelong resident of Yorktown, died Sunday, March 9, 2014. She was 73.
She retired from Ft. Eustis as a civil service employee in 1988 after 29 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel L. Richardson and Gertrude F. Richardson and brother, Samuel M. Richardson.
She is survived by her daughter, Gina L. Reid and husband, Scott, of Newport News; brother, William L. Richardson, of Elkridge, Md.; and grandchildren, Victoria C. Dowen and James A. Reid, of Newport News. A special mention to her pals, Turbo, Coco and Mittens who provided love and companionship as only animals can.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Peninsula Memorial Park.
