Joseph Nathaniel McCarty, a perfect and beautiful baby boy, was born Thursday, Jan. 17, 2014, to Sarah Reynolds. He died shortly before he was able to go home with his adoptive parents, Pastor William and Amanda.
We grieve for our adopted son and yet we know that heaven has gained a precious gift that we had the honor of holding for just a little while. A little over six months ago, we began this journey of you becoming ours and adopting you. From the first sonogram picture we held, to the first heartbeat that was heard, you became our son. While we grieve for you not being in our arms or in our home, your family looks forward to the day that we will hold you again. You are a special little brother and son that we will never forget.
Blessed be the Name of The Lord, who, although we don’t understand His ways, will hold you and watch over you until Mommy and Daddy come home.
Pastor William and Amanda, along with their family and church family, will receive friends and family at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Healing Waters Worship Center, 12172 Smith’s Neck Road in Carrollton, VA. A special service will be conducted at 7 p.m. with Pastor Bob Collins and Bishop Mark Cary officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Healing Waters Worship Center, IMAGINE 5.0 Building Fund that will be used for the construction of a Community Ministry Center / Community and Family Crisis Counseling Center, 12172 Smith’s Neck Road, Carrollton, VA 23314.
