Thaddeus W. Gosik, better known as “Ted” of West Point, died on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at the age of 91.
He served in the Army during WWII and was the past commander of VFW Post 8356. Mr. Gosik retired from Yorktown Naval Weapons Station after 32 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mitroka Gosik.
Mr. Gosik is survived by a son and his wife, Greg and Connie Gosik; grandsons, Stf. Sgt. Ret. Michael Gosik, USAF and 1st Lieutenant Zeb Gosik USMC and his wife, Jennifer; and great-grandchildren, Thad, Clayton, Cooper, Ella and AnnaBelle.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th Street, West Point, VA. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with burial afterwards at St. Theresa Cemetery.
