WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg Christmas Parade, a tradition since 1965, will be held Sunday, Dec. 4, starting at 5 p.m.
The 2022 incarnation — “Merry & Bright” — will usher in the holiday season with festive floats, live performances, and a special visit from Santa himself, according to the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce.
The parade set a record high of over 15,000 spectators in 2021, the chamber said in a press release.
Spectators are encouraged to help light up the night with their own light-up apparel and accessories, and the City of Williamsburg is offering free souvenir flameless candles to help celebrate.
Candles are available while supplies last. Pick-up will be on Dec. 4 from 2-4 p.m. at A Working Home at Precarious, illy Caffe, J. Fenton Gallery, Williamsburg Winery Tasting Room, Three Sisters Boutique, and Wythe Candy & Gourmet Shop.
Other pick-up locations and times include Williamsburg House of Mercy on Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Compass Wealth Strategies on Dec. 4 from 3-5 p.m., and Make ‘Ur Merch during the parade along the route.
