WILLIAMSBURG — After more than a year of being shut down and used as a makeshift school program facility, the Quarterpath Recreation Center will be reopening to the general public beginning Monday, June 21.
The recreation center, which has been closed throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, is the last City of Williamsburg facility to reopen. All other City offices and buildings resumed normal operations on June 1.
Quarterpath Recreation Center will remain closed until the end of the school year on Friday, June 18, so that it can continue operating as the “School Six Feet Apart” facility for the children of essential City employees, according to a press release from the City of Williamsburg’s Department of Parks and Recreation.
Rec Center hours of operation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
People who are not vaccinated will still be required to wear facemasks while inside the building.
