The Senior Center of York and the Peninsula Agency on Aging are offering a free Chronic Pain Self-Management Workshop starting Jan. 15.

The workshop runs for six weeks through Feb. 19 — the deadline to register is Jan. 10.

The chronic pain self-management program offers interactive workshops where participants learn skills and techniques to diminish and manage the pain, according to a news release.

In addition, the classes are for various types of pain and are not a replacement for medical treatment, rather an enhancement, organizers said.

The Chronic Pain Self-Management Workshop is at the Senior Center of York, 5314 George Washington Memorial Highway.

Space is limited. For more information or to register, call the Senior Center at 757-890-3444.
