The building in New Town that formerly housed Sapori and its short-lived successor Pasta E Pesto is available once more following the latter’s closure.
Sapori, a fusion American-Italian eatery, was the first tenant in the space.
It opened for business at the corner of Courthouse and Center streets in July 2013, but closed last November after its brand had not caught on with local diners as its owners hoped it would.
Co-owner Dario Amato said at the time of Sapori’s closure that some locals had mistaken it for a Japanese restaurant due to its name.
The restaurant was reopened as Pasta E Pesto later that month. The new restaurant featured a new menu and management, with classic Italian dishes featured prominently.
