WILLIAMSBURG — CultureFix announced the return of the Williamsburg Christmas Market will return starting Nov. 29.
The market will be at the same location — Court Street adjacent to Bicentennial Park.
To ensure the longevity of the market, a minimal $5 entrance fee for adults over the age of 18 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Thursdays are free, as are children and students with ID.
CultureFix promises train rides, Santa photo ops, a petting zoo, live street performances, and food stalls along with piping-hot Gluhwein will be available every day. Santa will appear at the market every day from noon-4 p.m.
“This year’s Christmas Market will have a few exciting additions. We have added 13 new vendor chalets, the petting zoo will be under a big tent in Bicentennial Park, and the train will be included in the one-time ticket fee this year.” said CultureFix’s Marketing Coordinator Hannah Warner.
CultureFix says an entrance fee was planned from the day the first market opened, but was not put in place due to COVID concerns. The fee will include train rides and the petting zoo, formerly $5 each, to simplify the processes once inside the market. The one-time fee allows guests unlimited access for entry into the market for the entire season.
CultureFix is encouraging guests to purchase tickets online ahead of time to speed up entry into the market. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate by scanning a QR code or at a booth. Entrance is through Henry Street only.
This year’s market will have over 40 vendor booths, many of which will switch out several times over the course of the market, according to CultureFix. The market will be open for a total of four weekends, three of which coincide with Grand Illumination:
