DOSWELL — Kings Dominion is offering guests the opportunity to spend the night at the amusement park this weekend from June 11 to June 12 as part of its X-Plorer’s Campout event.

According to Kings Dominion, “The campout will take place in the new Jungle X-Pedition area and feature exclusive ride time on some of the park’s most popular rides, including its newest coaster Tumbili.”

There will be 60 campsites available to visitors this weekend. A tent site can be purchased for up to four people for $285 and includes dinner, an evening snack, breakfast, and admission to Kings Dominion on June 11 and 12.

The Camping Out event is raising money for A Kid Again, a non-profit group that fosters hope for children with life-threatening conditions. The organization helps to support children and their families by providing positive family-shared experiences and memories. All proceeds will go to benefit A Kid Again.

Visiting campers to the park are asked to check in anytime from 1-6 p.m. at the Eiffel Tower to gain admission into X-Plorer’s Campout that evening.

Kings Dominion has upgraded its Safari Village area for the 2022 season and has rebranded the area as “Jungle X-Pedition.” The new jungle-themed area features Tumbili a brand new steel roller coaster and Virginia’s first 4D Spin Coaster. Jungle X-Pedition also includes a new food option called Basecamp as well as a new performance called “Let’s Get Wild”.
