WILLIAMSBURG — Recently, the City of Williamsburg’s Planning Commission unanimously approved a request to construct a 67,729 square foot medical office building near Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg.
The property, which is located at 3700 Battery Boulevard, will be a three-story structure dedicated to medical office space with also an associated parking lot.

The new addition of Riverside Medical Group (RMG) to our existing locations of care offices near Riverside Doctor’s Hospital will be an exciting reality that benefits both care teams, patients, and our community,” said President of Riverside Doctor’s Hospital Adria Vanhoozier. “With a new addition to our care in Williamsburg, collaborations across primary and specialty care providers and hospital-based teams strengthen our streamlined patient journey and ensure the best outcomes and high-quality care for patients regardless of location. We look forward to increasing access to RMG providers and enhancing our care for the Historic Triangle.”
That site, which will be accessed from Battery Boulevard and Commonwealth Ave., will include 313 parking spaces in addition to 33 on-street spaces. The project will feature a network of sidewalks and crosswalks to allow patients and employees to safely enter and exit the building.

Aside from the Doctors’ Hospital, Riverside Medical Group provides medical care and services at four hospitals including:
- Riverside Regional Medical Center (Newport News)
- Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital (Onancock)
- Riverside Walter Reed Hospital (Gloucester)
Riverside also provides patients access to specialty hospitals and other location types including Cancer Care, Urgent Care, and Heart & Vascular.

The next City of Williamsburg Planning Commission meeting is scheduled to take place on March 16, 2022.
